My World - Rain at last

Finally the long awaited rains have arrived. Last week we had quite a good rainfall and the garden really perked up. And today, just when I was beginning to think I would have to water some parts of the garden, it rained most of the night and today. Everything is going green, green and wet, wet.  We even have puddles that aren't going away.

We have been watering during the summer, but it has cost a fortune as water is expensive. The garden around the house looks OK, but further out we have lost plants and we have totally abandonned the vegie garden for this summer.

And we are the lucky ones because we do have access to mains water, My daughter has virtually no water left as they rely on pumping water from dams which are nearly empty.

Pelting down.

Don't the plants look green and happy.  I know the lawn looks green - in the photo - but it's not like that all over.

Enen the patio is getting a wash

And now I won't have to fill the fishpond.

The only problem with summer rain is that everything grows like mad - especially the weeds - and I have trouble keeping up with it all now.
