Weekend Reflections

This week's photo was taken at a beautiful homestead in the mid-north of South Australia. North Bundaleer has featured in an earlier blog - Fridays Fences 5 and you can read more about it here. They also have their own website telling the story of the property and the subsequent restoration thereof.

This shot is of the meticulously restored dining room. We stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful dinner in the dining room. We ate by candle light and the glow reflected off every polished surface. Very romantic. It was so easy to imagine dining in days gone by when the lights were soft and mellow, the women wore beautiful gowns and the men were handsome in formal attire.

I also loved the reflections in the hall from the leadlight door surrounds.
